The room was spotless and new-fashioned, containing all the facilities we needed. the hotel's location near an overground train station was convenient. - the University of Glasgow and other places were within a moderate distance of the hotel.

Actually everything was fine, my next choice again in Glasgow. Polite team, they made me feel welcome. The hotel had a central setting to all shops. A cool bonus was Kelvingrove Cafe, located nearby, it offered tea and coffee. Food in the attached restaurant was fab.

Although the building itself was 'classic', the facilities themselves were very new and the most ecofriendly of any hotel I have stayed in, including especially the ultralowflush toilets and sophisticated lighting control. I found the staff very friendly and helpful, and the cleanliness standards very high. As noted below, I would recommend this hotel and would stay there again on my next visit to Glasgow.
As one who prefers a continental breakfast, the one served did not meet my standards, and I had to search a bit around the neighborhood to find a place that served a credible latte and authentic croissant or brioche. It would not be too difficult to repair this small failing. Also, yes, there is internet access, but the bandwidth is somewhat limited.

The place was clean and brilliant. Had very nice and welcoming staff in all areas. - Enjoyed our huge room equipped with air con and heating. - the marvelous and perfect location was very close to Porteous & Co. Set in a good area, pubs and restaurants were within walking distance to the hotel.

We stayed one night at the Lorne hotel to attend the Take That concert. We were made very welcome on arrival and enjoyed a nice meal in the Indian restaurant follwed by wine and cocktails at the bar before we set off. The room was modern, clean and comfortable and we enjoyed a lovely breakfast the next day. Good value for money .
The only slight hitch was the shower head in the bathroom was loose which meant the shower operated at the lowest point of the shower pole but this wasn't enough to put us off returning to the hotel , I mentioned it to reception on check out and they arranged a maintenance call to rectify.

For one night, everything was fine... Location is great.
Didn't like the weather. It has nothing to do with the hotel, of course.

Indian restaurant was superb. Excellent waiter chose our food for us.
Mould around the window in the bedroom. Shower was cold. Had to use an adjacent room for a shower. My colleagues room had no handles on the window so it would not close.

The guy at reception firstly was really welcoming, I think because of this it made us feel comfortable. Our room was nice and clean. Everything really was within walking distance and it's really easy to get taxis any way.
We had a little trouble finding it, because we don't know Glasgow that well, so it's a good idea to bring you sat nav!

Amy at the Front Desk was very pleasant and great to talk to. She was very patient with the amount of times I had to call the hotel and be transferred to my parent's room. The location was great and a short cab right away for the City Center.
